Meyers and Associates:  Family Philanthropy Advisors

Families are becoming increasingly aware of how important it is to be strategic in their giving so that their philanthropic contributions reflect their values, while having the greatest impact that leaves a lasting legacy of change.  With over 30 years of experience in the not-for-profit, government and philanthropic sectors, Judith Meyers, Founder and Principal, works with emerging and established family foundations to do just that. With a highly personalized approach, she works with individuals and families to help define, shape, and implement their giving.

I approach philanthropy as a craft that, to be most effective, requires a certain set of knowledge and skills on the part of donors. I bring my own well-honed knowledge and skills to this work, drawing on the values of thoughtfulness, creativity, professionalism, discretion, and careful listening. I am especially committed to working with families interested in honing their own ability to maximize the impact of their philanthropy. Giving money away is simple, but giving it away well requires a thoughtful strategy.  As a licensed clinical psychologist, I bring a deep understanding of family relationships among and across generations and the excitement and challenges of determining how best to give. My consulting services are not ‘off the shelf’ but rather tailored to each individual family with whom I work.  My approach is comprehensive and based on the personal relationships I develop with clients through careful listening, learning, and building trust.

I invite you to get in touch with me to discuss your interests and how I may help you give wisely.
